Welcome to Mrs. Bennett's Second Grade Class Website!
Thank you for visiting our class website! I hope this will be a helpful resource for you to stay connected to what is going on in our classroom. We will be working on engaging activities and challenging STEAM projects. Students will also continue to develop problem-solving skills and independence, and participate in exciting field trips. It is important for students to look forward to coming to school each day and to have fun while learning. This will encourage them to become lifelong learners. We're going to have a wonderful year!
ELA and math homework are assigned each Monday and are due on Friday. Please note that additional or alternative assignments may be assigned by your child's math teacher.
Birthday Celebrations
Parents may bring treats to the cafeteria during our scheduled lunch time to celebrate birthdays.

Parent Reminders
Our school opens at 7:00 am. Focused instruction takes place 7:00 - 7:40 am. HMES announcements begin at 7:40 am and class begins at 7:45 am. Students arriving after 7:45 am must be signed in at the front office by a parent and will be considered tardy.
Communication will play an integral part in helping your child be successful this year. The planner is used as a tool for communication between the teacher and parents. Please review and sign your child's planner daily.
Couriers are sent home every Friday. Enclosed in your child's courier are graded assignments, school newsletters, and other important notices. Please sign and return the courier to school with your child on Monday.
